Hi,

I know the same question has been asked a million times, but with all the different devices and file, I can't seem to get a grasp on what the next step is....

So far:

(1) - I download and extracted all 5 parts of Aus and NZ 2022.
(2) - I have sitting on my PC a folder with

• CN_AustNZ_2022_10_md
• product1
• and a bunch of files

(3) - I have a Garmin DriveAssist 5.0 LTM, with and external SD card which already has the default North America map on it.
(4) - The SD card only has 1 folder called 'GARMIN' - and it has 4 files inside of it, including a 3.6GB gmapprom.img file (north america)

So I guess the question is:

What do I do with these newly download files?

Have you patched the device to use unlocked maps yet ?
The files you have downloaded are for Mapsource /Basecamp on PC.
What maps are on the device ? Unplug the SD card and check as it looks like the latest N. America maps are too big for the device storage

I've downloaded the following files but I'm not sure what to do with them (I have a Garmin Rino 750) that supports City Navigator but its crazy expensive.
City_Navigator_Aus_and_NZ_NT_2022_10.gmap.rar
gmapsupp.img

I have downloaded and installed BaseCamp and Garmin Express but where do I put these files? I've looked for the hidden system folder but there is none on my device.

Kia ora & welcome to the forum.
There is a later version and where to place .gmap folder ,so you can use Basecamp to create gmapsupp.img.

I'm new in the GPS world and maps... therefore my contribute won't be nothing comparing to yours.
Thanks for sharing but before I go any further, would these work on a Zumo XT?

Unfortunately the Zumo XT is one of the newer devices that is not able to use unlocked maps

Can you walk me through the procedure then? So I downloaded the City_Navigator_Aus_and_NZ_NT_2022_10.gmap and installed Garmin Express. How do I get the device to "read" the maps?

I moved your post from the device patching thread to the thread you used to download from.
Please start using the the "Thumbs Up" button as this helps work out where you have been.
If you are just trying to update your nuvi 50 maps ,then the easier way is to download the 2 files you need ,not install the gmap folder to create you own custom map sets on a Windows PC & learn the programs as well.
Replace the gmapprom.img & place D3532330A.jcv in JCV folder on the device
or
On a FAT 32 formatted SD card arrange & name file as below.

this is a good start into the world of "I have NO idea what I'm doing...!!!"

Evening. Have downloaded the 5 RAR files... but for the life of me I have no Idea what to do next... have tried forums of different origins to no avail.

OK... Downloaded the above 5 RAR's and have no idea what to do with them (limited computer knowledge on these skills)
what appears to be the problem is I had a Garmin nuvi 51Lm which the screen went dead (but still ok via Garmin Express).
Backed up Everything to win10 box... bought a Garmin nuvi 67LM fm the USA, but found it is locked to US maps.
My question is:
How does one migrate the AU_NZ Map over the US maps using the DL'd RAR's???
