Hi guys,
Thank you for putting this up. I have downloaded all 5 zipped folders. Could someone please point me in the right direction how to go from here?
This is my first time downloading these maps.
Thank you in advance.
Kind regards
Rob

If your device is patched you just copy the files on your device if your device needs a patch first you patch it

So you downloaded the gmap folder to use these maps with Mapsource/Basecamp on a PC.
Unpack & copy the City_Navigator_Aus_and_NZ_NT_2022_30___HERE.gmap folder to C:\ProgramData\Garmin\Maps.

Hi guys,
Thank you for replying. Do I use all the 5 folders? How do I treat the 5 separate folders?
Kind regards
Rob

To unpack these volumes, you should start the extraction from the first volume. Select "Process all files in all volumes from the current" in the menu that appears.
If volumes are stored on non-removable media like a hard disk, you need to put all volumes into the same folder before starting the extraction.

I don't understand why you don't just use your nuvi 2597 LMT with lifetime maps with Garmin Express to install them to use on your PC

Hi,
I did not know I could do that? I will look into it tomorrow. I purchased the unit 2nd hand so I am not sure if I can get the map updates?
Thank you for your response.
Kind regards

Welcome to the forum.
Is your device Patched to use Unlocked maps
If not
check your garmindevice.xml to find your HWID
<PartNumber>006-BXXXX-D0</PartNumber>
<SoftwareVersion>xxx</SoftwareVersion>
<Description>nüvi 65</Description>
Then go to software/universal-firmware-patcher-for-protected-garmin-devices-t17987-615.html?hilit=nuvi%2065

Is there an unlocked gmapsupp.img available of this? I've got a Nuvi 2545 and have dropped updated maps into it before but have assumed they weren't locked. I dropped another one in and when it booted the Nuvi said "Cannot unlock maps".

Where did you get maps before & now ? If from here using the "Thumbs Up" button would tell us & help you with a solution.
Try unlocking the .img's you downloaded with [Please Register or Login to download file] Just drag & drop .img onto gimgunlock-0.04.exe Icon/File.

@GarminNuvi I'm pretty sure it were pot luck on which versions I had. I would have had older versions of CN Europe and Australia from travelling a few years back which I would have simply dropped onto SD card and didnt have a locked message, so someone else would have done that I suppose.

On GimgUn, I'll give that a shot and see how I get on. Appreciate it.
