When installing these files on a SD card what folders should these files be under: JCV ? G2S ? SQlite ?
I have Gmapsupp.img and Gmap3D.img in a "Map" folder with maps showing on the device.

The main Map files depending of what device you use ! Since you have Map directory there should be . The other directories are for Junction views etc...

Does anyone have the ASR1 version of these files for
the Nuvi 3790. 850 series?

I have a very unusual issue with this Europe map. I downloaded the gmapsupp.img and added to my SD card. MY GPS reads the map just fine but the country names are in local language instead of translations (For Germany I can only find it if I search for Deustschland, for Austria it shows as Osterrich). Any clue on how to fix that and translate the city names to english?

This is very strange it may happen with NTU maps not NT and only if you have chosen as local language the German etc..

update it with last firmware then clear NON VOL and all will be ok

Mapsource type is LOCKED (GMAP). How can I unlock???

You need this: UnLock MapSource Directory up to v5.2 (08.01.2016)

i try full europe map and not work in my old nuvi 250(i have copy and rename gmapsupp.img,but navi dont see map)if i try for example a italy+swiss work very good,(i put map in sd card folder Garmin)any idea for this?mt last map 2017.20 full europe work good! more thanks for all member for your big work

Your Garmin can read img file over 4Gb?
