Yes I know. I was not asking a question about that in this thread. Merely explaining why I am unable to simply write the files directly to a device.

I believe that as also GarmanNuvi explained you mishmash the devices and the needed procedures.
The files here are for PC usage or direct copy in order to update Nuvi devices with Basecamp and Mapinstall and of course as GarmanNuvi said to add also the rest of the files with a copy.
Diferent devices especially for cars needs a diferent procedure and different group of maps.

Any update on these links? They don't work. Any .img file forthcoming?

The link in the first post is working. It must be a problem at your end. Try a VPN if your ISP is blocking filecrypt

As I understand, this download contains only the files that are used by BaseCamp or MapSource to build a new .img file. The .img file itself is not contained in this download, unlike previous downloads which contain gmapsupp.img. Am I correct? Thanks in advance.

Your observation is correct, nobody has shared the files from a device yet, only mirrors of other peoples shares of the gmap folder.

I put the files into C:\ProgramData\GARMIN\Maps\City_Navigator_North_America_NT_2022.25 but the basecamp does not see the map. How do I import the map into basecamp?

Put the actual gmap folder (not the City_Navigator_North_America_NT_2022.25 folder) in C:\ProgramData\GARMIN\Maps\

You dont import the map into basecamp - if it is in the correct location the program will find it

But I cannot see the map when I use BaseCamp.
Ive also tried to put in C:\Users\**USER**\AppData\Roaming\Garmin\Maps but did not work....

Put the gmap folder (and contents) in c:\ProgramData\Garmin\Maps - do not put the contents on their own.

I guess I'm not doing it right , It's still not working. Would you please show me where your files are placed in screen capture or something? so i can get a better understanding at this?...

Per ronand's instructions, I got mine to work by doing the followings:

1. Rename the download folder (and contents) City_Navigator_North_America_NT_2022.25 ----> City_Navigator_North_America_NT_2022.25.gmap
2. Put the renamed folder (and contents) in C:\ProgramData\GARMIN\Maps\ ----> C:\ProgramData\GARMIN\Maps\City_Navigator_North_America_NT_2022.25.gmap
