Updates weekly, or you can try it for yourself using their tutorial and a bit of Linux knowledge. I think it's still under some sort of development, not sure about that. No JCV, no speed cams, just pure Garmin maps that also can be used on old Garmin devices and computers.

Another one - among many others - is intended for fully customizable creation of map files (including ones for Garmin, and probably for other GPS devices), also based on OpenStreetMaps:
