The only Tool I know is Garmin Image Unlock - gimgunlock v.0.04
This run under Windows O.S. On Mac try with a Virtual Machine like Wine

Read the previous post.

I used "Garmin Image Unlock - gimgunlock v.0.04" to unlock the map with windows. Installing it on an Oregon 600 works, the same map on the GPSMAP 66S doesn't work, locked.
So on the most recent Garmin navigators it doesn't go?
Is there any other way to install maps on new Garmin models?

The most simple way for your 66s is change the CodePage in the map from CP 65001 to CP 1252. Use ImgTool or GMaptool to do this. (Changing subfile LBL is enough).

I can't view the map on BaseCamp.

I'm new. Would anyone know how to give me information on how to install these maps?

There is no installation file to install the map on your computer for Basecamp.
To see the map in Basecamp you need to install the map on your GPS and connect your GPS to the computer. Then you can see the map in Basecamp.
An alternative is to put the map on a separate usb-stick or sd-card (in the Garmin folder) or create a virtual disk.

Does the same workaround work for the Fenix 5X? I have unlocked it using the tool, but after transferring it to my watch I have a similar message, something like "Maps is locked" (it disappeared and does not popup anymore)...

I try to put the card on my GPSMAP 66S but the card does not open.

The device was flasher, I changed the CP because at some ca worked, despite all ca still does not work.

Has anyone ever had this problem and found a solution?
