Help with Garmin FULL TOPO V6 Australia

Hi guys,

I have an original Garmin FULL TOPO V6 Australia, which was purchased from Johnny Appleseed GPS.


I also have the original Garmin TOPO LITE V6 Australia, which was also purchased from Johnny Appleseed GPS.


I can upload the map onto my Google drive.

I have tried to unlock it with the gimunlock tool so I can use it in my Garmin Nuvi 2597 LMT. I am looking for someone to help me unlock this map.

I have spent many hours trying to unlock it but have had no luck. I have most of the genuine Garmin maps and marine charts. I am happy to share them.

Your nuvi 2597 would need to be patched to use unlocked maps .
Check your HWID in your garmindevice.xml
<PartNumber>006-B2077-00</PartNumber>
<SoftwareVersion>880</SoftwareVersion>
<Description>nüvi 2597</Description>

if you have use the latest gimunlock tool it is most probably unlocked already.

G'day, I haven't unlocked a Garmin map for some time but I have a couple of tools, garminkeygen.exe and garminunlocker.exe
If you have uploaded the maps I can try and unlock them for you or if not I could send you the files and you can try.

Welcome to the forum.
ozwide was help last year, unlocking maps isn't a problem ,his device needed to be Patched to use unlocked maps.

Topo v6 is listed as being not compatible with the Nuvi 2597 - if you are still around, could you confirm that both work fine together?

Answered my own question - found a copy of V6 Lite and it works fine on a 2597, so fair to assume the full version would as well.

Was the full set ever uploaded? The lite version that is around the traps works fine on my device wouldn't mind moving up to the full version as 10m is a LOT better for us dirt riders.

nevermind, no longer required, i found a better result using MOBAC and connecting it to sources I need.
