How to get the map ID?

How or where can I retrieve a map ID? Is there a program to do so or a place where it is available from please.

One possibility to get the MapID is GMapTool (freeware).
But generally it is not necessary to find out the MapID, because today maps will be unlocked by map unlockers like gimgunlock or unlocker alternative.
