I get Message "Map could not be authenticated and was disabled. For more information about map authentication, see your owners manual".
After inserting the SD card that had previously been formatted (FAT32) by my Garmin echomap 62UHD and the files extracted to the Garmin folder using previously mentioned pw.
The maps appear to get initially loaded by the device since for a short time the message "Card1" loading screen is displayed with the content of the different VEU721L submaps.
gimgunlock-0.04 skips the files and does not help either. Most likely because the map has already been unlocked.
EDIT: when the card is tested in an older garmin Montana 610, the maps are loaded and displayed CORRECTLY (as far as the old gps is capable to display...).
Conclusion: Works on older garmins or "unlocked" newer ones, see thread "Universal Firmware Patcher for Protected Garmin Device" in this forum. The above files do not appear to work on Echomap 62CV UHD. The maps cannot displayed because there does not appear to be any unlock patches available for reflashing the firmware of this model. My conclusion is for anyone who want to take advantage of the maps on this forum should aim to buy an older model plotter/gps or one where the unlock patch has already been released.
Suggestions are much appreciated, or successful loading reports onto a newer Echomap device.
