are these unlocked files? Just extract .img 's and copy - paste .gmap 's into C/program data/Garmin/Maps?

It says "Locked IMG" so it can't be that hard to figure out. You will need to unlock it yourself. Everything you need is in the zip file

I had hoped for an unlocked version, but continuing with this download, everything i need is inside, but how do i use it in Windows 7?

Use gimgunlock. time to read the forum https://www.navitotal.com/software/garmin-image-unlock-gimgunlock-t9369.html. Don't be expecting someone else to download it all, unlock it and then upload it for you.

Correct me if I am wrong, but the .img file can be used in the device, but I am looking for (unlocked) .gmap file for the pc.

It is in the zip file. There is an installer in the basecamp folder.

Ronand, one more question, works the same installer also for MapSource?

It just installs the map on your pc. Usually in c:\program data\Garmin. It might be different on Windows 7. Any of the Garmin programs will find it. You may need to unlock it after installing. There is a program called unlockmapsorcedirectory or similar in the zip file. Copy it to the folder where the map is on your pc and run it.

Can it be the "Protected Garmin file toolkit_2254_x64" file for an 64bit pc?
