I downloaded this files but I it did not work with mapsource. How must I install this or is this the wrong file for mapsource? I wan't to use it on a garmin edge 800.

First off all: MapSource is outdated software and not longer developed since 2010.

Nevertheless this map is working with last versions of MapSource, e.g. v6.16.3. The gmap-folder has to be copied to the right directory, that depends on the used operating system (see included install.txt of this version or in tutorials section).

copy unpacked gmap folder to garmin map directory
WIN7/Vista = C:\ProgrammData\Garmin\Maps
or
XP = C:\Dokument and Setting\All Users\ApplicationData\Garmin\Maps

on MAC OS
/Users/PUTYOURUSERNAMEHERE/Library/Application Support/Garmin/Maps/

and the programs see the map and you can create your own image
