That worked! How did you do it? I have tried to drag and drop only the .img file, and both the .db and the .img file onto the gimgunlock file, but without success. I only tried map number "4 - Sentral Øst", does the map number "4" work for you?

Hi! Thanx for uploading Norway maps. Trying to get them to work on my Astro320 without success so far. From reading the string I take it the 10 maps you uploaded via links are now unlocked? I have tried drag/drop the gmapsupp.img and the .db files on to the sd card but the astro wont recognize the. What am I doing wrong?

Welcome to the forum
Try this
SD card should be formatted FAT 32
Create a folder called Garmin in the root of your SD card
Place 1 gmapsupp.img in there

Place the associated .db file in the \Garmin\SQL folder on your device

I have now found a usb cable and connected my Astro320 to my mac. Turns out there is no SQL folder.

Should I make one in the "\Garmin" folder, like this; "\garmin\sql" where I put the ".db" file in?

I typically use the Gmaptool app to merge several gmapsupp.img files into one larger to avoid having to switch sd-cards all the time (hunting in different areas).

I suppose the .db file contains the unlock code since it has to be included?

What should I do with the .db files for map "A" and map "B" after I have merged the two into one single larger gmapsupp.img file?

I do not have this device to test, but it looks like you device does not use the SQL file then.
I assume you can now see the maps ?
Can you not just rename each gmapsupp.img to Sorvest.img for example, and put them individually on the SD card ?

The .db file, in bundle with a Topo Pro Map contains the so called "Named Trails" database
Your Device doesn't have Active Routing feature, so that file is useless

Thanx all for valuable input! I was finally able to view the V2 maps after renaming the .img files from "gmapsupp.img" to e.g. "finnmark.img".
No idea why that made a difference, but suddenly the device went from showing white screen to showing the appropriate maps.

Another question: Apparently the Astro 320 requires me to format the SD card as FAT32, which give max file size of appr 4GB. When I merged the 5 maps I use the most into a single .img file using GMapTool I ended up with a file just over 5GB. Is there a way to work around this?

Garmin devices work with SD cards in FAT 32 format & the maximum .img size that's works is 4Gb, that's why Mapinstall or Mapsource will not allow more than [Please Register or Login to download file]
