My wife has Win CE on her head unit and I am pretty comfortable in the file structure etc and location on an SD card and setting the path.
I have recently installed an Android based head unit in my car but am unfamiliar with how Android files are structured etc.

I had read that the nav software needs to be in the Root (not sure what that is on Android) let alone how ...

I have a Medion GoPal P4440 wich has a very outdated map (2010)
The unit has a microSDcard-slot, RDS, and seems very capable. I update tomtom's "all the time", but I have no idea what to do with this unit. Of course the goal would be to make max use of all functions + an up to date Europe map.

What's the most smart thing to do?

Hello. I have an old Garmin device SP 2820 on my motorbike which is enough for me as I have a clever enough phone to navigate me as well. I downloaded Europe 2021 NT version here. But it doesnt have any setup executable file. I need to see the map on my mapsource to be put into device harddrive. Any help would be appreciated. Please teach as if you are teaching a newbie.

Does anyone know if it is possible to update teh firmware on an old marine gps, gpsmap 520?

I can start the gps, and it recieves signals. But I cannot see any map in the window... almost as if the map is not loaded.

Might be far shot to try to update firmware...

I have a questions about older files being compatible with the new ones that I am going to install. Lets say for example I am installing the folders from the content folder like: building, map, poi, speedcam, phoneme.
I also have folders like dem and tmc have files in them. If I do not replace them are the older files compatible with the new content folders? With the new files being added are they compatible ...
