Hi, I am new to this forum. Here is my dilemma, I recently bought a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee fitted with the 720N REP Uconnect Radio/Nav/Info system. For the first year, my car had the Sirius subscription that included traffic data. I no longer have the satellite subscription, so I have lost my traffic data. When looking at the developer menus in the CTP2012, there are empty entries for the traffic provider data, but options to view and reset the data.
Has anyone been able to update their unit to use the TMC traffic data? Since the Nuvi units have the coding ...
I've got a 2014 Jeep GC in Dubai that unfortunately still has 2012 maps on it. It's a real shame cause I really like the system but the roads are changing so quickly here in Dubai that quite often the Nav system leads you the wrong way. Last night, I tried to upgrade my 2011 Garmin unit with the 4.14 firmware update, which resulted in a bricked navigation screen.
There are two updates floating around, one for the CTP13 (2013) units (v3.15 I believe) and one for the CTP2012 (2011-2012) units (v4.14).
I used the CTP2012 (v4.14) file, and my unit is stuck on the Garmin splashscreen with "Loader Loading..." text on the top. It will not boot any further.
Hello, I have an american 2013 RAM with 8.4AN Uconnect with american maps and I live in Russia and need russian/european maps. I know that some european dealers can make conversion - reflashing with european soft, but it costs quite a lot. My idea is to disassamble us maps with gmaptool and assemble them together with russian garmin maps and try to unlock them and to flash from the usb stick. Shall it work?
