Great site here... Glad to have joined.. Got a question regarding understand the output of GMatool's

When I use he GMAPtool and read an original locked map, selec the file Tab and then info it produces some informaiion on the log tab. I have some question about what it's telling me.

At the top it has
Header: 19.06.2008 21:07:23, DSKIMG, xor 00h
Mapset: VUS010R-Southeast Florida (10.50)

bottom you have
Data MPS
F: PID 0, FID ...

Hi, i have to put the new map on my Nuvi 660, but in Garmin folder there is not enough memory to put all the 1,9 GB map into it.

I have tryed to put the map on my 4Gb SD card, but i dosn´t work ???

What do i do ? I is possible to split the map into 2 files or what ???

PS: The map works fine on my Nokia N95 8Gb... ...

When I see reference to unlocked maps (img file) , does that mean that I don't need a UNL file for it?

I have this above mentioned Garmin with the television feature. It has been built the way that when vehicle speed goes over 12 km/h it will blank the TV-picture. Is there any way to avoid this feature? I think it is related to the information from GPS receiver.:confused:

I have copied GMAPSUPP.IMG to my Garmin folder but it didn't fit so i just deleted gmapprom.img. Was this right?

When i check my maps it says:


Is my maps installed right?

let me re explain my problem the mio 168 navman pda has an inbuilt gps reciever which i cannot find the settings to the pda itself runs ok ive installed garmin xt on it and runs fine except it keeps saying gps is off the lad i got it of said it crashed or something and he downloaded a rom from the net he says it was for the mio 168 but im not sure ...

:smilie_h_001: I'm having some issues with multiple maps on my SD card, have two maps on it, but the garmin unit only find one, have tried to rename it like GMAPSUP2.IMG and GMAPPROM.IMG nothing helps,
on the Garmin unit there is also two maps that works,
3 maps out of 4 works, what i'm I doing wrong????

Hello to everyone! Please Help

Let's say I buy a Chinese device which runs Windows CE 5.0-6.0..
Most of these devices is multifunctional (GPS, MP3 player, MP4 player, e-Book reader, games) and has its own interface. Also this devices run iGo, TomTom, Route66... but not GARMIN!!!

My Question is: 1. How to install Garmin on such a device???
I know we need to use CeRegEdit to get Windows environment..

2. What to do so Garmin ...
