when trying to format a raw micro sd card I forgot nuvi 255w was connected and must have wiped a partition on nuvi instead of sd card.
1 - Now when I start nuvi it boots to nuvi logo and copywrite screen then keeps reebooting over and over to same screen
2 - when I boot with sd card in it boots to select time and select units screen then register your product screen
then ...

Is there anything i can do?
Computer not regonize it anymore normally.

I have tryed push upper left corner and reinstall firmware with webupdater, but not success with it.
When i push upper left corner then computer found gps-device and webupdater finds it, but update failed.

gmapsupp.img isto tem pôr os dois ficheiros num ficheiro único, quem soube-se agradecia que me explica-se ??

Just swapped from TomTom to garmin, bought the Garmin Drive 51 LMT-S
A briljant piece of quipment.

One thing is bothersomes me, the speedcams warning sound is way to weak the hear whilie driving.

I went to Settings --> Driver Assistance --> Proximity Alerts --> Audio (Single Tone or Continuoes tone selected)
There is no option to change teh "..DING.." waning sound or adjust the volume of this alert ...

Can anyone let me know how files should look to be added to a Garmin drivesmart? I have applied new firmware so it will take unlocked maps apparently but the format looks totally different from the nuvi.

Mine is a European device. I'm planning to add the USA maps into a sd card but don't know what files it is expecting. It doesn't look like the gmapsupp.img approach of the Nuvis works... any help ...

I understand that Smartlink must be paired with Android phone in order to use Trip Advisor or FourSquare on nuvi 61LMT-S Smartdrive. On the road, must the phone be connected to WIFI in order for the GPS to work with Trip Advisor or can the GPS unit work with the data it had when the phone was connected to WIFI ?

I have an older Zumo 550 that needs it's map updating.
When i got the unit maps were from about 2009, so done some reading and downloading and move across from pc to the 550 using simple windows explorer (no Garmin software on pc yet) and replaced old "gmapprom.img" with new version of "gmapprom.img" which is 360mb compared to older which is 1.24GB, so i presume i have updated map files from old europe to ...
