Hi I have a Nuvi 1490, which I bought some years ago, and I would like to update the map and speed camera information.

I have had a look under the relevant sections on this forum, but I am still a bit confused how to do this.

Could someone please give me some step by step help, if its not too much trouble.

Any help would be appreciated , i have a Garmin nuvi 255w with the latest firmware loaded and have installed the cn South America NT 2015.40 Map but when i start the unit up it says the map is one year out of date?.Can this notice be deleted. Thanx

Just purchased a Suzuki Grand Vitara Navigation unit which is a Roadnav S100 C053

It has Igo8 navigation but I have two questions

It says the Igo8 supports Garmin maps, how do I install these?

Also I have a genuine Garmin XT on a micro SD, could I also install XT onto the unit without deleting the Igo8?

I have a new 2014 garmin nuvi 65LM with US maps (Lower 49) with the new encrypted file base. I am now able to see the ".system" folder, so no issues there.

However, I\m trying to switch from Lower 49 US to a North America 2015.30 map but it doesn't seem to work when I try to replace the map file on the unit itself (not via SD card)....

I updated the old nuvis without ...

Want to open a unlocked GPI file and save to CSV (excel).

Tried the converter via poi factory, but says my file is too large to convert.

Also tried GPSBabel, but that cannot find any waypoints to convert the file to CSV.

Any clues/tips

Hi all, longtime lurker but first post, I need some help from you lovely people. I have a Garmin Nuvi 54 EU that refuses to boot properly and only will when a USB cable is connected when it does it displays a weird image (see video) any advice on this?

Also unable to get the computer to recognise it and therefore currently have not succeeded to update it either.

Hi all. Not new to the site but I am having trouble. I have a Nuvi 1300 without lifetime updates and just recently bought a 8 gb sd card to get the latest maps. I have the lastest image but I cant get the device to see the map. it is unlocked. How do I do this. Every time I try to do a search I keep getting "You are using common words" message. Please ...

I am new to Gamin and am looking to by either a new or nearly new Nuvi that can use unlocked maps. What late models can use unlocked map please?

I have a Garmin 2447LM.
I made the change to Windows Explorer to show hidden files.
But when I connect my GPS, I do not see hidden files and folders.
So I can not delete the old card to update the map.
Can you help me?
