As the title states, I've had a TomTom One V2 for over 4 years going back to GPS underground days and recently acquired a Nuvi 1250.

I know the ins and outs of loading Navcores, upgrading bootloaders, activating maps etc etc.

Since I am new to the Garmin world, I am wondering how that works and if there are specfic tutorial threads I should follow to better understand how Garmins works.

I have a legend HCx and I downloaded the Garmin bluechart g2 hxus039r us (entire us) and using KenGen 1.5 and ID-411 I still can't get the .img file unlocked. I may be getting my steps wrong. Can someone give me some help. Thank You

Hi, I have a Nuvi 3790 with preloaded middle east maps, I recently added a new set of Europe maps (gmapsupp.img, gmap3d.img and gmapdem.img) to the "garmin" folder of a SD card. At the "Map Info" under Nuvi's settings, I get to see my Middle East maps (Main, 3D and DEM) but from the SD card, I only get to see the main Europe map only. I don't see co related tick options for "gmap3d.img ...

Just spent all my pocket money on a Kenwood latest navi unit with Garmin nav .The standard vehicles supplied with the unit are fine but I have added some additional vehicles from garmin garage and a few other places , problem is all the extra vehicles I have loaded whether from Garmin Garage or other sources are just too small . Hello everybody, i'm new to the whole nav thing. Yeah i have installed miopocket or visual gps to multiple mio/navman systems including the nav systems(igo/primo/tomtom etc etc). but that was easy.
i dont realy think this is to difficult too, but i'm new and cant see the forrest trough of the trees

My father in law has a garmin nuvi 250 with old 2006 or 2008 maps on it. so i dedided to update it ...

My Garmin Nuvi 370 randomly turns off. It has a full battery bar showing yet it will randomly turn itself off and it does the same thing if it's on battery power, plugged into the computer via USB or hooked up to the car charger.

It was working fine a few weeks ago until i decided to update it. My Nuvi 370 is about 3 years old and the maps were out of date, so ...
