POI loading problem

I did read the sticky from Chas521, but think my problem is a little different.

I'm running IGO8.3.5 and when I try to find any type of POI I'm getting

Failed to open file: writable.bmp
existing application.

I've been running this program for weeks now but this is the first time I've looked for a POI.

Suggestions?

Loading.bmp [screen] error messages?

Some of you are having trouble because you are getting an error message that the loading.bmp cannot be loaded and is therefore exiting the application. Yurbuh Tuggly came up with the solution.

480_272 refers to the resolution. If you have a different resolution, use that folder instead. "Instead of messing with data/branding.zip, you could try making a folder in the root, "ui_igo8", in that a folder "480_272", in that a folder "night." Put the loading.bmp ...

A big thank you

I've had my fair share of posts on here asking questions on how to configure Primo 2.0 on my Chinese import device. Most have been answered quickly and successfully.

I now have a stable system that I'm happy with. I've come to realise that Igo software is not the well polished system that its big brother Tomtom is. It can be quirky and annoying to get right. But for me to it far superior.

So ...

I have an IGO 8.5 with Thai map and language. I have been searching already for quite some time to find the english language files for Map and Voice but without success.
Where could I find these and also a tutorial on how to change languages?

Many thanks in advance

Current GPS position?

I have a device running WinCE 6 with Igo Myway Primo 9.2.0.191
On other satnav's there is usually an option to add your current GPS position to existing poi categories. However It will only let you store your position to "Favourites".
Is there a way to change this, or alternatively would it be possible to access where ever the favourites data is stored and manually add these to a poi file?

Loading screen for iGO8 and probably Primo

I've created a different loading.bmp for iGO in the most popular resolutions - 480_272 and 800_480. You can find out how to use them here http://www.navitotal.com/showthread.php?9475-How-to-change-loading-screen-in-iGO Primo can be found in the data.zip in the ui_igo9 folder. Scroll down to the loading.bmp.

Important: It is important to backup your data.zip and branding.zip from the original program on your SD card BEFORE attempting any editing. You would also delete the save folder but I also suggest ...
