Primo 2 Niggles

Hi Guys and thanks for reading my thread. I have recently upgraded from Igo8 to Primo2 Zervdim edition. Whilst appreciating the numerous advantages Primo2 has I do have a couple of issues about it, first of all why on earth are the information panes black on a white background? surely white on a dark background is far easier and safer to see at a glance whilst driving, I know that perhaps there are skins out ...

iGo & hnr files

Trying to understand the hnr files. It's my understanding that these files provide extended house number functionality as in providing numbers on both sides of the street (assuming you are looking for address 2045 it would also show house numbers on the other side of the street).

Questions:

1) I thought this was a TomTom functionality or is it in both?

2) From what I read you need a "housenrs.dat" file which isn't present in ...

Can Teleatlas and Navteq files be used together? Any potenti

Hello guys,

my question would be the following: can Teleatlas and Navteq files (fbl, poi, hnr, and so on) be used together without problems? Are there any limitations, such as: Navteq fbl work only with Navteq poi files, or do they work with Teleatlas poi files, too (and vice versa)?

PS: are there any related posts to this topic around? (I have not found any...)

Any help is appreciated.
Thank you!

How is altitude computed/displayed?

Reason I ask is that I got a strange event on my iGo8 as the altitude display seems to have stopped at 443 feet elevation. There's no log being taped or replayed, just happened today. I'm at about 1,400 feet and it's still showing the height I was at in town.

Any ideas?

Can different release date maps coexist?

Let's say I have the latest maps for a number of given States but missing others. Can I for example mix, in igo8.3.5, 2011_Q2.fbl maps and say 2011_Q3.fbl? And ditto for the POI files? TIA

how to show cursor on real GPS position, iGO Primo

Hello, I've been testing this iGO Primo for a few days now, and I must admit that it looks quite good compared to Garmin MobileXT, which I have been using quite successfully for few years. But I still haven't got a chance to see it how it navigates on a long distance trip which is the main purpose of such software.

The first thing that I do not like in Primo is that I don't ...

Question about Michelin XT980

Hello,

My father bought few years ago the Michelin XT980 GPS. But As you should know, Michelin do not update anymore this GPS.
I would like to know if it is possible to change the navcore and the charts for this one.

I am not sure I am in the good section for the forum !!
Thank you for any answer

Thierry

Cursor movement in Tunnels.

Seems to have a mind of its own.
Sometimes moves thru tunnel, other times stops and resumes at end of tunnel.

Any clues?
