I downloaded map 865.3245 Europe.
I eliminated the original map in my tomtom device and copied the new map. Then I ran fastactivate and clicked in map and ttsystem button...

My Tom Tom won’t add all copied voices to the voice folder. If I delete the voice folder and create a new one, then use fast or auto activate its finds some of them but still won’t see all of them on the device or the 1 gig SD card. I couple of days ago I bought some maps for America and got them working on a 4GB SDHC with my TomTom ONE XL via a navcore. Now, whenever I turn it on, the TomTom 'welcome' screen comes on then it turns off automatically.
I've now deleted everything off the memory card and the internal memory so can somebody please give me some step by step instructions on how to put the maps onto ...

MapUserPatch.dat 22 Kb (manual corrections go to MapShare)
MapServerPatch.dat 42Kb(external correction comes from mapshare)

Can someone please explain to a newbie what the difference is between AutoActivate, FastActivate Light and FastActivate Premium as they seem to all do the same thing?

Run "Fast/AutoActivate.exe" seems to suggest these are the same to me.

Currently running truck map on it with sd card, but have got a bit confused over the right updated map and navcore for the actual unit. At the moment i have uk/ireland 860 3124 with nav 8.351. can i update the map or do i need to update navcore as well.:confused:

I've got a Tom Tom ONE XL satnav and I wanted to install the American maps onto it, therefore I need a memory card. The problem is that I've only got a 4GB SDHC card and I've been looking around and it doesn't seem like it will work.
Is this correct or is there a way of getting it working because I have no idea on these things?
