i'm a bit confused as what i need to do to update maps. atm my tt details are

64MB RAM - 16.4MB Free

Map. Western & Central Europe 2GB v800.1765

do i need to run the patcher for tt home
i've dloaded the following files and have them saved to my pc, but not really sure where to ...

I've just managed to install Navigator 7 onto my WinMobile 5 device (O2 XDA Flame), and it's quite functional: v7.915.9196 running Australian map v8.30.2290

2 Questions:
1. As this is a 7.9xx edition, are there any more recent Australian maps I could use and run? I've tried the 8.55.2884, but that wasn't recognised :(

2. Safety cameras - I've followed the instructions ...

upgraded my mates tom tom1 a few wekks agao to navcore 8.417 and everything was working fine

but now after about a couple of miles of a journey the sound stops

i tested it by preparing a route and in demo mode it does the same, it seems to disappear after a speed camera alert

anyone one else had this issue

Dont know if i doing something wrong. Managed to update to navcore 9.205 with with maps version 8.55. When selecting destination i can no longer type full postcode in. I can only type first 4 digits (CF31) then have to either manually scroll or type street in. I sure i use to be able to type full postcode in. Is there a way around this.

hi all just downloaded the map Iberia 855.2884 for the third time and it always errors out nat the end of unzipping any one have a link to a good copy ?

My One XL, 1Mb mem, no sd card etc., tells me I can't run this map on the device.

I've run autoactivation and fastactive and both end up with the same result.

Bootstrap on these is hold the power buttong for 15 secs until the sys info screen comes up? - did that, same result, PROBLEM, Can't run this map on this device.

upgraded a go500 with the patched 8414 navcore from here and 855.2884 uk maps
i extracted all files to device SD card and overwritten where needed,the maps and voices patched fine etc
but when i switched the device on it just sticks on the tt boot up screen with hands picture on.
so i tried it by removing everything from the sd card and installing the new navcore from scratch,again everything patched ok but had ...

Hi, I have a TomTom XL that was purchased in UK. I've downloaded 8.45.2661 Hetero (whatever hetero means.. there was a 'gay' version too). I've copied it to the TomTom via my computer and it's not working. I know there's extra steps I need to take but I don't know what they are and all the searching in the world has found nothing. Sorry, I'm a complete gumby at hacking TomToms but am computer savvy ...

I just updated my One XL-S (4S00.008) (US) that came with text to speech, but the navcore i used must not be TTS compliant because I cannot load or use computer voices. My question is: Whats the best navcore for my device that includes the TTS feature?
