I have very old TomTom one 3rd edition with USA_and_Canada and Guam map on it. I updated the navcore to latest version 8010. Following is the current config.

I am trying to use United_States_1GB_890_4234 map with it but it fastactivate is not generating ".dct" file. I have extracted the map and replaced current map ...

I have a tomtom one (30 series) which finds a good gps signal for 5/6 satellites then locks up after 5 mins or so. The little blue/yellow circle top right of gps status screen stops turning. All the satellites remain blue and the map stays in colour but no cursor movement. Have tried different nc's and maps, ephemeris downloads all to no avail. Am thinking the gps module must be defective but it always searches ...

Hi guys, total tool/n00b on this but I want to update my TomTom One XL with (hopefully) the latest maps and possibly Navcore (if this is required) and i'm not sure the best method to go about this.

When i bought my Start it has NC 9.057 and NZ map 855.2884, then by your generous help i did upgrade
NC to 9.430 and NZ map to 885.4003. All good, many thanks, working ok, but there is a small "but" you maybe can help to sort it out.
Before the upgrade in the right bottom screen corner was displayed ( clockwise) :

just like to know how many have newsgroup access and would be interested in having the option to download the maps from there via NZB files.
