my tom tom freezes on start up on the splash screen and wont go any further. i've reset it a number of times but that hasn't done anything. i have attached some details so hopefully someone can sort me out. i would like also if someone could point to me the latest maps /updates for me if i can get my tom tom to work again.

Hi all; I've just updated a mate's Go 300 with the SE navcore 8.412.1336, and added the UK 870.3406 maps.

I've ran Tomtom home and updated mapshare etc.

Problem is, when I turn the unit on, it thinks i'm about 20 miles away from where I actually live. Even if I set it to navigate to a destination, it still thinks the starting point is the wrong map location.

Is there any way to update ...

I upgraded from 7.903 to 8.412 in my GO300 V1.20.

I installed W&CE 2GB V845.2647 maps and found the postcodes didn't work, you enter them but they are not recognised.

I've just changed to CE V870.3319 maps and the problem is the same.

Is the issue the change from 7.903 to 8.412?

Any suggestions appreciated.

I'm a user of Carminat TomTom.
I'm using a copy of my original SdCard with update.
The navcore is 8.842.

I want to install Speedcams and the map France 870.3413 autoinstaller.

The problem, is that I can't activate the map and the speedcams.

I copied the files FastActivate.exe or AutoActivate.exe on the root of my sdcard. With the differents program, I have an error 'File TTGO.BIF or TTNAVIGATOR.BIF not found'.
