Note this is only for iGo8, and not all settings will work in all builds of iGO8. There are an OBSCENE amount of sys.txt settings. Tomtom rebooting problems
Here are some basic tips on how to solve these problems, if a hard reset (hold reset for 30s) and the clear flash tool don't work:

1. rebooting after a map update or changes to some map related files like POI's.

It is a common problem caused by the file "mapsettings.cfg", when moving it from an old map folder to a new map folder.

If you have a Tomtom with the bootloader version number starting with 1.xxx instead of 5.xxx you have a special system and should never attempt to change your bootloader! (exception: bootloader 1.0012 is OK for updating.)

It is most likely that you have a special Navcore version as well - 8.041
Other Navcores won't work on your device the progress bar will stop at the end end the devices freezes.
