Razorblatter wrote:General question: If TT Carminat is based upon X20 (Go X20?), can I also use Downunders modified NC ?

Does it work (practically) the same as a regular TT except that it works with NC and system files and map from SD ?
Appreciate your answer ! Very interesting.

@wolly1969: post #1 deals with Carminat TT so I think I can disqualify your answer. :scratch_one-s_head_

But...lets take it easy and wait for one of the moderators.

Why wait?
Did you read anything about other Navcores in this thread?

No, this thread is about Carminat.

But it's a small thread and it might not be concrerned with being open to your modified NC with emu X20.

And I couldn't find a easy answer if TT supplied navigational software to other car brands.
So I would highly appreciate a direct answer to above three questions. Respectfully.

Okay, that's a shame. Apologies to woll91969. ;)

I was wondering because this mentioned:
Note: The Carminat Tom-Tom system is based on a X20 Tomtom

That was my reason for asking, so not without sufficient reason.

But even so, are there other car systemed supplied with TT maps which can be updated the NaviTotal way ?

Tomtom Renault has two systems.
Classic with NavCore 8842 or Live with NavCore 9844 or later.
The classic works as described in step one.
Unfortunately, nothing is possible. At the Live version
One can only buy from the original renault dealer or tomtom itself.

Hi Chefke, today I bought a Renault with navcore version 9846, the live version.
I read in your post the other version navcore 8842 is without live, is that right?
If so can I change the 9846 into 8842 navcore without damaging anything and can I get cardupdates?

thanks in advance. http://www.navitotal.com/images/smiley/diablo.gif

You can not change a thing manually on your device, only what TT Home offers and allows you.
