What to do?

0) Put a new sd-card in your Radio/Carminat and let create the folder "loopdir"

1) Extract "NC_8842_Full_Complete_Install_yDGpatch.zip" and copy folders and files to your sd-card.

2) In the loopdir is a file called "ttgo.bif. Copie this file to the root SD Card

3) Use map Europe 975.7688. Unpack it and
Copy the new map to your SD card in its own folder.
When you open the map you see the individual files.
Not a map in a map.
4) Copy "FastActivate.exe" to your SD Card root.
Run "FastActivate.exe".
Select 2.

Done

I made my one bif file...the same as you described. In the loopdir was only loopback.ex3 file...

Just rename what u see on ttgo.bif

Edit: confirmed, it's working with iberia map 975_7688...later i will edit if it's working with europe 975_7688 and 8gb sd card

I've read everything carefully, and have been trying for severall hours now, but I got also stuck: Fastactivate keep saying that the ttgo.bif file can't be found.

my system information says:
navigatiesysteem: AK6ZS AAXXX
Serienummer: IA5249J000XXX
App: 8.842 (542199/100629)

In the ttgo.bif file (which is a txt document), it says:
DeviceName=Carminat TomTom
DeviceUniqueID=AK6ZSAAXXX
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=8842

Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

The ttgo.bif is not a txt file but a bif file

Make a "ttgo.bif" file. Copie this file to the root SD Card

Yes, activating should no problem provided you use the correct map. Meaning the map that suits the 8.4xx navcore.

thanks again, I go stuck a little bit further, I'll try to be as precise as I can be:

So I followed all the steps again: made a back up of the old SD, formatted the new SD (FAT 32), copied the content of the old tot the new SD, deleted folder with the old maps and the loopdir folder, put your ttgo.bif file in the root of the SD, together with a text file with the exact text and my ID numer and navcore number. Then copied Europe map 970.7467 in a new folder in the root of the SD, and finally copied FastActivate in the root.

Then run FAstActivate: option 1 was fine, but then I got an error: no TTsystem or PDAnavigator found: I found the PDA Navigator file, put it in the root, ran it again (option 1, 3 and 2) and everything seemed fine.

Now I put the SD card in the Carminat in my car, it starts up, but gives a error (I have to translate it, so its not the exact message): card does not work in this device: Europe-100733

Can you please advice me??

Do you have a europexxx.dct file in the map folder? Be sure to read what FA says when running an option.
It's strange why you didn't have the navigator file in it's correct place. Hoe about the other files? What's the reason for this?

Oh yes, try using a simple map folder name like 'europe' not 'Europe_975_xxxx'.

I did all the steps again, now renamed the folder to Europe. And yes, there is a folder like that.

Running FA option 1 is fine, running option 3 it says: 'file missing - (ttsystem or PNDNavigator)'

I've found these 2 files separately ( for 1 reason or another they are not on the backup of the Original SD, but that one is working fine) and when I put these 2 files in the root, FA seems to work fine.

But the Carminat in the car gives the same error....any ideas??
