My colleague has a Renault Megane with only map of Denmark only, he would like to update it so that all of Europe is on, he has an SD card as he has now so this should probably just update with the correct map?

But what do we need of programs and maps? is there anyone who can help and give us this info?

Where du i find the latest navicore ? And maps for Europe ?

Look under chapter TomTom for maps
And the last navcore you can use for Carminat is the 8.842

If you have a Carminat with LIVE then you CAN,T update only buy a map.

How do i find out if he go Live Version ?

What Navcore and Map version do I have?
What Device ID do I have?
At Carminat:
Hold down INFO/Route key for 3 seconds. It will show "Route Details Screen"
Click right at joystick. It will show "Device Details Screen"
At TomTomHome:
Insert SD card to PC.
Open TomTomHome, click menu "Help->System Info"
It will show the Device Info

Only if your applcation/navcore is 8.842 you can update the map via Navitotal.
