iGO (unless modified) works within it's folder, so it shouldn't need anything outside of the folder, however the device itself might need files, I'm sure the western Europe map file could go, (backup first) but I'd check what is in the other folders first

The folder CLM just have 1 file:
ephdata.clm
The folder save has another folder inside called mnavsettings that contains one file named favorites and another folder named routes that is empty
Im gonna erase all except MNAV and see what happens...

CLM folder was added because it lets the device lock on to the satellite quicker. You can safely delete the entire save folder. A new one will be created the next time the program starts/ends.

It all looks like it's all related to the original software, so should be safe to delete, obviously back it up onto your PC first.

Did you set up the port and baud settings?
If not, untick GPS enabled, Enter your settings if known, or tap autodetect (i think) if not.
when finished tick GPS enabled...
Check in the sys.txt for any overriding entries.

With iGO 8 you don't need to know them, just use the auto detect option.

I have done as Fatboyfun said and after a quick search the device retrive a message of OK and complete search.
Port: 2
Baud: 57600
I tried to set a street to activate it but almost for sure i cannot have a sinal now because i leave on a building...
My sys.txt is:
[folders]
has_secondary_root=0
[rawdisplay]
screen_x=480
screen_y=272
[debug]
skip_eula=1
[interface]
show_exit=1
[other]
demo_enabled=0
[warning]
speedcam_warning=1
speedcam_enabled=1
[sound]
ding=0
Tomorrow when i leave home i will test it again and hope this had did the trick...
Allways when a new software is installed on a device this GPS autodectection procedure has to be done?
Thks

Add to your sys.txt and make sure you save it:
[gps]
port=2
baud=57600

Hi again friends...GPS has finaly got the signal!
Thks for your help again...
Now, has one problem never come alone im facing another issue...after insert some route on GPS i get no sound (TTS) telling the way that i should take...despite i have activate and selected on the device the respective TTS that i have installed on MNAV\content\voice (i have on this folder two .zip files that are the TTS files that i have found for my country (Portugal))
These files must be on .zip right? they are not to be extracted i think...
Wed Apr 10, 2013 8:49 pm
I have tried another TTS file and it worked OK. Seems that the problem was really from my TTS files...
