When you can run other programs (like your Primo) than installed by the manufacturer, your device is unlocked. Why then the need for Miopocket?

im interested in miopocket cause of all the different functions it includes, different themese, etc.. just want something different, the ui on my unit is boring. but if installing miopocket is too much risk of "bricking" my unit i'll stay away.. ive been reading some threads on gpspassion and alot of people have had success wit miopocket

What you want is not Miopocket, but a fancy start up menu, using a script.

Yes that sounds a little more like it, where Should I start if I wanted to do that?

It's called a shell. I have something on my external HD, I believe. Not sure it's for your resolution. I am looking for it.

I found what I was looking for, but the file was a menu for 480*234. Nor sure how it works and if it can easily adapted to 800*480.
For now, be a little patient. First make your iGO working, then see for the shell or menu later

And? Is your iGO working?
Fatboyfun adapted the menu shell for 800*480. Interested to see what it looks like and if it is what you need?

Yes I am, I'll give it a try, I'm sure it's a little less complicated then trying to install miopocket

Fatboyfun will publish it very shortly. He is tidying up the looks a bit.
When you try it, I think Fatboyfun would love to read your feedback!

800x480 Launcher

Ok i've not had much time over the weekend, but i've created this frontend for 800x480 devices, It has three large buttons for Navigation programmes (Default is Tomtom, iGO and Garmin) and some other applications like an image viewer and video player.

There are three screens, The main screen, An about screen and a large clock screen.

I assumed that your SD Card is called SDMMC, If not open the .ini files and start.mscr with notepad and edit the paths.

If you find and run SystemInformation32.exe you can see how the frontend looks on your PC before installing on your device.

Unrar and transfer all files to your device, Edit the paths within the ini files and start.mscr if you need to, and run start.exe.

You can rename start.exe and start.mscr if your device looks for a specific executable, Both need to have the same filename before the extension.

Please feel free to comment, i'll make any requested changes and if there's demand for other resolutions i'll adapt it to fit.
