You must download the upxtool - do it again from the link in the post above.
This is a compression program, compress iGO.exe with it.
Next rename igo.exe to R66Navigate7.exe
copy the contents of the iGO folder in the route66 folder
that should solve your problem.

You must be doing something wrong or you do not have or give the rights to the program to write files, make changes to disk. What Windows version?
Maybe you should execute the program with administrator rights.

That may indicate a screen resolution issue or some other basic setting that may be wrong.
Do you know the resolution of your device?
Also post the contents of the iGo sys.txt.
But that's just my opinion..I could be wrong.

Did it come that way...with a blank sys.txt?
Are you sure you have a full install? Where did you get it from?

Maybe try this one?
-Igo8-March-5-2011
Or this one:
iGO-8.3.5.193799-27th-May-2011

The first one has a few more options built in, the second is your resolution only (480x272).
Both may require modifying the sys.txt a bit for your device.

You may have to do the compression thing again on the .EXE file for either/both.
But that's just my opinion..I could be wrong.

You drove for 2 hours whiile the GPS was searching for a satellite?:doh::doh:And you expected a satellite fix ??:doh::doh:

NOOOOooooooo! Go outside, in the open air. And wait a bit, 20 minutes, half hour. No driving around. The first fix is important but driving around means the GPS must keep searching for a fix.
