JVC KV-PX70 unlock

Postby tined » Mon Aug 12, 2013 5:44 pm

Hello,

I'm new to this forum and trying to unluck my JVC KV-PX70.
I allready succesfully "installed" Universal Shell thanks to this forum :-)
After the installation of Universal Shell I copied IGO8 to my SD Card but once I try starting IGO8 I get the message that "IGO8 is not a valid Windows CE application"
Hopefully there is a simple solution...

Greetz,

Vincent

Thanks, but unfortunately this only works partially the IGO8 file does start without the error message.
But i'm only seeing the IGO startup screen in a flash, after that it simply returns to the Universal Shell software.

Just in case, i'm using iGO 8.3.5.183522 posted by chas521

At least it starts now, a common cause of load failures is too much content.

Reduce the content down to just one map and one POI set, remove everything else including skins etc...

Delete the save folder, A new one will be created.

Try running it again...

Just stript the IGO8 software down to aprox. 180mb and only a basemap.
But still not working. Perhaps any other possible causes..

Thanks,

Vincent

Did you try running iGO directly, without the shell?

Just tried running IGO directly with the same result, only a quick flash of the IGO start-up screen.
Would an different or even more stripped down version be an option.
I found your old IGO post on this forum which was only 30mb.

I think I remember seeing this before, although it was a while ago, another device just refused to start igo, and we could never find out why.

It might be worth trying another version of igo, or a different application altogether.
