When the FM Transmitter function is activated, the sound that would normally come through the unit speaker is instead routed to the FM frequency you select and broadcast at that frequency--then you tune your FM Radio to that same frequency and you will hear the sound through your car stereo speakers. Try to pick a frequency that seems to be 'empty'--where you may only hear static on the radio. Usually this will be near the low end of the FM scale. Also, this feature works MUCH better with the TMC antenna plugged in, as it uses this also as the broadcast antenna.

It will be used again (with all your added speedcam locations) when you put in the new speedcam.txt file, and Primo/Igo rebuilds the .scdb file on the next start.

ok I'll try this to keep my own speedcams.
but to add more than one file speedcam (ex. different sources), should I call them 1, 2 etc. to create x speedcam files or is it possible to merge into a single txt file?

and for TA map, (maybe also with NQ), i see the relief (the road rises and falls, and disappears sometimes behind high locations). is it an option in the map, or is it possible to see a classical "3D" view without the relief?

You can have as many speedcam.txt files as you like (yes, all with different names but the same .txt extension), but if there are duplications between them, you will see multiple cameras in the same spot. You can also merge them into one file if you like, but the same about duplications apply.

Yes, you can turn off 3D 'textures' if you like in Map Settings. Or, if you never want to see them, delete any *.dem files in {Primo Folder}/Content/Dem. Some people like this feature, some do not. It DOES take a considerable amount of memory for those systems with less that 128MB--but this should not be a concern for you.

Well, so the solution is a "performant and full" speedcam file. I found many ways to keep so files from different sources, but is it one up-to-date source (for France&Belgium among other)?

ps: my Primo freezed yesterday when consulting TMC infos. The only solution was a hard reste (pusshing few seconds to start the device). All the primo config was lost and I repeat the entire configuration. Okay but it took some time. In this case, if extracting the sd card (Primo is on), is it one file to save before reset?

Well, I think what you mean is you want one file? I don't know what areas you want exactly, but here, thanks to nabi, there is one for all of Europe:
http://www.navitotal.com/forums/showthread.php?6087-iGO-EUROPE-fixed-speedcams-SCDB-June-1-2011
This is updated as new ones are released and found--once every month or two.

A crash can occur for any number of reasons. The best thing to do would be to get everything setup exactly how you want it, exit Primo, then copy the entire Save folder somewhere. If you get another crash, restore your entire Save folder from the backup--replacing everything. Then restart Primo--it should be all setup as you want it.

Hi again, after a trip in France, a problem occurs:
- the speedcams are also anounced even if not on my itinerary. Is it a solution to limit the alerts on the itinerary?

That's not really a 'problem', that's how it works. If speedcam warnings are enabled, and you approach one in the speedcam database, you are warned. Does not matter anything about routes.
It's an all or nothing thing.

On my TT, I can limit the anouces to the speedcams on the itinerary.

2 other questions:
- Is it possible to customize the distance for annoucement of the alert points? My TT could also do it by type of speedcam.
- you spoke to me a possibility to show or hide the texture (relief). I did not find this in the interface of IGo

daktary wrote:We spoke about BT, is it an access to enable the BT in Gopal without enter the application (like for Gopal FM)? edit: Yes, the app is named ANWDOG and is located in the Flashdisk/Bluetooth folder

I (finally) got a Bluetooth Phone, and found out some details on how to set it up within Primo for the Medion P4440 if you are interested. Starting ANWDOG is a problem since it will not go away or minimize. Instead, set up Phonelink (My Flash Disk/Bluetooth/PhoneLink.exe) as an External Program within Primo. Then, once you connect to your phone, you can use the "Back Arrow" button in PhoneLink (which looks identical to ANWDOG, but behaves differently) which will, in effect, "minimize" the program so you can go back to Primo. If a call comes in, it will popup on the Map Screen at which time you can choose your options to answer, etc. However, there appears to be no way to truly EXIT the Bluetooth Dialer without terminating it in Task Manager, or simply soft resetting the device. You can also set up an Icon on one of your Pez Menu screens with the same path as above if you want to start Bluetooth without starting Primo first.

1) In Primo, you can set the alert point distances for everything EXCEPT speedcams. Some skins may add this function.
2) Easiest way: delete the DEM file(s) in Content\Dem
