road angel 6000 navigator info 4.2

hi as road angel stoped road up dates in 2007 . i whould be greatfull if any body can help , what maps & versions work on windows ec 4.2 this unit has sd slot . a direct link whould be great with any other info .tks

I can't find out much about this device, except that Road Angel sell updated software on an SD card, iGO runs on WinCE4.2, Tomtom does not, when you plug the device into the PC and explore it, what do you see? How much memory your device has is an important factor as well.

hi thThe Road Angel Navigator 6000 comes pre-loaded with UK street level mapping software with full post code search facility and a 200MHz processor.teleatlas maps

there is at the moment a 256mb card ,just waiting on 2gb card comeing . Computer\WindowsCE then 4 drives \sdmmc- citys-roadangel -blackspot-device-gconf-holuxnavi-prefs-rdata

When you get the new card download iGO8.3 and rename the folder/executable to match the original software and copy it to the new card and see if it starts. (It will probably throw up an error of some sort) If it does then we can go from there.

hi fatboyfun have now backed up the sd card where is the best place to store the backup for others. and mabee you can give us a few pointers for igo 8.3 link . many thanks

there is 2 missing files before called "citys / roadangel " thats the files in order on the sd card . mabee you can store some place safe on the forum for others .cant seem to leave links for the fist 2 on megaupload ,mabee there is some where else & better to leave these ?

A 256MB card is too small, Copy everything from it (including hidden/system files) onto a larger card (max 2GB) put the original card somewhere safe and work from the new card, confirm the original software works from the new card.

Garmin mobile XT may work as well but Tomtom won't.

have tryed igo 8.3 . all good till i try to go NAV , "Error program application database cannotbe found .please insert original application SD card".
blackspot works fine on its owen ,photo suite ok ,music suite ok
as most of this stuff is 32 bit & i am running vista64 cant get in to a few files ?

is there any body with an up to date blackspot.exe file ? mine is 21/6/06

Windows on your PC can't run Windows CE programmes unless you use the emulator.

the blackspot.exe file works on the 6000 from the road angel 7000 link zip file thats it, the shell is ok but wont start NAV,holuxnavi.exe wont start on the 6000 .i think 7000 is windows EC 5.0
memorymap dosent start

there is still support for blackspot . if anybody has a new speedcamera file please post

I have this Road angel 6000 I have unlocked it with miopocket ver 4 I have installed destinator now I can not get Unit to find satelites can anyone help Or has anyone found a work around I need to know what needs to run so I can edit registry with help.
