Route 66

Postby geogyr » Fri Oct 28, 2011 8:21 am

Hi I have a route 66 that was given by my friend when he got a new tomtom. I found the maps too old and was thinking of getting a tomtom when my friend suggested that we run a tomtom to check first before we buy and offered to help me. He then worked on something and now the device just shows an image of SD card with a question mark in it. My friend said he forgot to back up the route66 maps and the tomtom maps are not compatible.. Now i am stuck with nothing on it...
is it possible for me to have tomtom running on it??
Any legitimate way of getting this device working ??
Please help!!!
additional info:
Device: Route66 chicago.
runs on: winCE core 5.0
Device starts with route 66 logo and screen alignment test

Usually you just rename Tomtom navigator.exe and any parent directories to match the route 66 software

should be something like...

Route66\R66Navigate7.exe

Then copy the map folder to the card and reboot the device

Once Tomtom has started and displayed an error message, then you run the patching utility (AutoActivate.exe)
