also make sure nothing else was deleted when you deleted the original folder.
When you say this - how do you mean? As i have deleted whatever was on the Device (after back up), and replaced with everything i downloaded after changing the name of the folder and the .exe file.
So:
Open Targa Device
Back up
Delete everything
--
Open the downloaded file Primo
Change .exe from Primo to Traveller
Changed the folder name from Primo to Targa
----
Then transferred the file from PC on to device via a simple drag and drop.
Anything i am doing wrong?

Restore the backup
Delete Targa folder only
Rename Primo folder to Targa and Primo.exe to Traveller.exe
Copy to device
Restart device
The other folder\files on the device may have been for the default menu

Just done exactly how you have said it....
but just does the same thing as explained in post 57.
What could it be that keeps it doing that.

Does the device behave 'normally' when the backup is loaded?

OK just to see what the memory division is set to go to
this post and download the app, Read the instructions, Rename WinCE Device Information.exe
and WinCE Device Information.mscr to Traveller.exe and Traveller.mscr respectively and place all the files in the Targa folder, Run the app on the device, Post results...
This device may have the memory division set too low by default, The original app may adjust it whereas iGO does not, Result: Not enough memory for iGO to run...

When you say run the device what does this mean?
When extract the files i get:
2 folders: Simpler Launcher & WinCE device informationV2
I opened WinCE device information V2 - and renamed the .exe ( was not named WinCE device information.exe, however the only .exe file) to traveller.exe
I also renamed WinCE device information.mscr to traveller.mcsr
I then deleted the traveller.exe on the device. And placed all the files within the WinCE device informationV2 folder on the device ( 5 files / read me, mortrunner/mortscript/.exe / .mscr).
Then i unplugged the device and let reset it -
i got a message saying:
Port: COM7
Baudrate: 4800
Protocol : NMEA
If i try to run it on the computer - it says not a valid win32 application.

Not quite sure what you downloaded, so use this one...
Rename wince device information to traveller.exe and wince device information.mscr to traveller.mscr
Place all five files in the targa folder and restart your device.
Tap ok on the little box with baud rate etc in it, then connect to your computer again and there will be a new text file, post that here...

The above report tells me there is more than enough available memory to run iGO and Primo and confirms some other details...
Try this version of iGO8...
[Please Register or Login to download file] Obviously rename the folder\file.exe...
