When you say "Unlock", Do you mean turning it into a basic PDA or do you just want to run other GPS software/Update the maps for iGO8?

Without knowing what your device is, I would try installing Mio Pocket 4. Be aware that Chinese devices usually have the most basic of Windows cores and you may run into problems trying to run other software (Not just GPS software)

An Windows error message you'll see a lot is XXXX.exe (Or one of it's components) Cannot be found... This means that files that the application expects to find in Windows is missing, Most likely removed by the manufacturer.

[Please Register or Login to download file]

The instructions are included, READ THEM CAREFULLY!

It's best to install to a SD card.

If you just want to run another GPS application then copy the path of the original with the new application.
ie, If the original is iGO\iGO.exe then rename folder\file to match.
OR
If your device has a customizable GPS/Navigation button then point it to the new app.

I have a similar question. On my Windows ce device there is a startup screen with a button for GPS. Nowhere can I find where it looks for though I tried all the init files. They only contain the coordinates of the buttons. Where can I find the link to the .exe file the button links to?
