Sun Sep 11, 2011 5:57 pm

Hello

I hawe problem with connection over activesync. Can someone explane how to enter WinCE6 and switch from active sinc to mass storage connection? When i connect device to my laptop on the screen of laptop appears "Cannot verify the version of ActiveSync on your device. A program such as a firewall may be blocking a port ActiveSync users to connect to the device, or you may need to upgrade to a more recent version of ActiveSync on the PC"

What version of ActiveSync/WMDC do you have on your laptop?

The USB mass storage drivers may not be installed on your device but you *may* be able to change the settings in the WinCE control panel/PC connection, But it's common to only have one connection method installed

ActiveSync 4.5 i think. Today downloaded from Microsoft page.
Is there any tutorial how to change connecting method to mass storage!?

Not that i know of, It's not an easy procedure to do and it's not compatible with every device due to the many different "versions" of Windows CE

Depending on the Firewall you use (Windows Own Firewall or AVG Suite or Avira, etc...) try to close it down for a while or allow ActiveSync through it. Reboot your laptop and try again. Hope this help.

I have had that mesage on several gps devices usually after messing with miopocket or other unlocker and the only way I have resolved it was by FIRM WARE flashing of the device
