DUH!:7:
I should have replaced data.gro- now works! iGO AMIGO!:dance:
been few minutes, still looking for signal.
'll post back soon!:tease:

Mon Feb 04, 2013 10:08 am

Problemo remains that It just refuses to find satellites with either one or other sys.txt,
what would the fix for that?
(as it's not 100% working yet)- do like it for simplicity, unsure if post code search is as good as on Primo, but definitely don't like limited way as how settlement search works...

Meanwhile going to have go at iGO 8 (8.3) and if still not (managing) or too happy back to iGO Primo 1.1:thumbup:

Mon Feb 04, 2013 10:19 am

Primo 2 with TTS pro works ok, just leave out the dem and 3D building files for speed reasons, use the one from my guide which is already configured for your device...

Mon Feb 04, 2013 10:46 am

I'm on a Primo 1.1 at the mo- same old (bad)- looking for GPS signal..
Fatboyfun wrote:Primo 2 with TTS pro works ok,

I think, I fear, you've lost me "with TTS pro" part...?

Fatboyfun wrote:use the one from my guide which is already configured for your device...

I'll have to get back- once read your tut!

Mon Feb 04, 2013 10:59 am

OK iGO Primo 2.0 version on a torrent comes up as 1623MB... leaving way too little space for maps... 2GB card handling size limit
I will be glad to get back good old Primo 1.1 to work!:chok_mini:

@ FatBoyFun- once again- (sorry to be so dumb!), just can not remember as weather I should use port splitter or else way as how to alter the way boud or else is wrong at the mo?
Thanks!

Within the default shell is a GPS test programme, does this pick up satellites?

By the sys.txt should be...

[gps]
Port=7
Baud=57600

Mon Feb 04, 2013 11:28 am

Original- that runs without a card- finds GPS!
all of the playing now and none shell.ini or other text file makes it find it now...
that's the SYS.txt

and so far- nono! still looking for GPS signal...

Also what command I should enter/change for the disconnected charger not to have "turn off"" annoying pop up?

Mon Feb 04, 2013 11:51 am

am I wrong in believing, that this device understands this sort of configuration:
shell.ini:
\SDMMC\MobileNavigator.exe

SYS.txt as above

iGO Primo is renamed as MobileNavigator

GPS port bout is configured as:
[gps]
Port=7
Baud=57600

(on SYS.txt)

what have I uninvented here?:smilie_a_003:

Edit:
last "idea"- could it be because I am using NavTeq maps? (though on good old Looket- works) as I noticed map indicating unit being in France and looking for GPS signal...?

Mon Feb 04, 2013 12:38 pm

If it's looking for satellites rather than autodetecting GPS receiver then it's found the GPS, it can take up to, 30 minutes to find the satellites, take it outside and give it some time.

Man you was right!:thumbup:
she works!:dance:
Dunno how to thank you!:D

Any chance of reminding one, as how to get rid of a nagging pop up for switch off when charge stops?
and... how to set up, that upon startup straight in to navigation (map) page?

Mon Feb 04, 2013 2:58 pm

In the interface section of the sys.txt look for shutdown time, change it to 0, don't remember the exact wording, you will get a dialogue box saying "External power disconnected" though.

To go to the map on startup go into the extra settings/ui labs and "skip preview map"
