Got 8 on now and slightly faster. Funny as it has the same ram as my F430. I have also tried two standard size SD cards (4 +8 Gig) and it does not recognise them but is happy with the micro cards in the adapter. Hmmm

It's the processor, for example the B series processors are clocked at 260MHz and these struggle badly with primo 2 and all the enhancements.

And there is a huge memory overhead with these devices.

Its a lot happier with 8 but surely the processor has nothing to do with the SD card being micro or standard. Ill look at an earlier igo later to see if any are smaller and try and install that. I take it I can delete files like resolutions I don't use/need and other sound files like voice American as I only use the UK Kate one. The idea is Igo in the unit and maps, POI's etc on the SD.

Micro SD's have less power requirements than regular SD's but the speed difference between then should be negligible, however between brands they may be...

Ah ha. It looks like it only supports 2GB SD cards. Lucky I had a 2GB micro I can use just now. I have stripped down an igo8 and its size is down to 219MB so installing that now. Surely it will fit :)

To minimize: 1. Delete the TTS_LOQ folder 2. There are 5.dlls. You're gonna delete 4 of them but not gpstmc.dll 3. Delete all the TTS voices from content\voice leaving only the non-TTS voices 4. Include your content to the appropriate content folders 5. Delete all dem and building files from your content 5. Reduce the area or delete the speedcam files 6. Reduce the map and poi area.

In case you require some help.

Lol. Igo8 light. I could not get it down enough. I cant find a way to find out the exact size I have to play with in the device. Anyway, I had to go to the torrents as everything a wanted to try on this forum was dead links. I got a Igo Amigo from 2009 I think. 8.4.2.81333 is the version. That came with no maps or POI's and sound. I took the sound from igo8 and added POI's and maps of UK and Ireland only and it installed just fine. Slowly but it in. God its bright. It does not have a sys.text file. Is this the norm as the up loader did add a line of text I was to add to the sys text file but I cant see one.

On Binatone's you can delete everything off the internal memory, although some small files will be recreated.

You probably only have 256MB (less formatting) of internal storage.
I once squeezed iGO8 with UK maps into my Medion with 256MB, needed a shoehorn LOL.

I got igo8 on my f350. The maps were on the SD card though. That was what I was hoping for with this but I am quite liking this Amigo. Its like a poor mans Prime :) Any links to skins for it as it bright. I might just keep this now as it has the rubber like case what will be handy for the vibrations on the bike.

Any reason why my unit does not store the time and date? The battery seems fine and holds its charge. It fine when it connects with a satellite but it should also remember the set times in the units software. I also cant see a setting for British Summer time what is odd.

There is no battery back up for the clock, it's common to be set by the GPS software after a lock has been acquired.
