Binatone X350 problem

Postby Fatboyfun » Wed Mar 09, 2011 3:05 pm

I really am as puzzled as you are??? I have put UK&ROI v865.3262 with NC 7.450 on at least a dozen different devices (PDA and PNA) including a Binatone B350 and they all work. I will use your ttnavigator.bif to generate a ..meta.dct for you when i get home (I am at work now)

Yes, you need the Zip files, Put the files in a folder called Zip in the root of the SD card.

Happy now? :D

Hi, I'm new to this forum but I've spent the best part of 3 days trying to get my Binatone X350 to upgrade to TT with varying "degrees of progress". I wanted to take it with me for a trip around France from Monday 18th July but this is looking unlikely!

I've tried not to make a new problem post by carefully following all the instructions on here as best I can but there always seems to be something not quite right.

I've had "No maps found" in French and English and I've gone back to the start (following this thread) and downloaded all the files again (so mind-numbingly slow using fileshed or whatever it's called as it makes you wait half an hour before you can download and then it downloads slower than royal mail!).

I now get a TT flashscreen on clicking Navigation and it doesn't bother looking for maps!

Please can anyone help??!!

Explain what you have downloaded and exactly what you did with them.

Hi and thanks for your prompt response,

I downloaded the weddingphotos.rar and copied the files to the Satnav.
I started the Satnav which I think gave me the TT splash.
I downloaded the UK and ROI maps 865.3262 and copied them to the Satnav and to a separate drive on my pc (I used this as the card reader I bought from Amazon doesn't want to read my 2GB SD card).
I copied the files from the Satnav to a separate drive on my pc and ran the AutoActivate from there.
I then copied all the files to the Satnav.

The only difference is that I have no (working) card reader...
I then copied the files back to the Satnav

If you copy the map files to your PC to activate them, It MUST be in the root of the drive, There will be a {xxx}.meta.dct file if the activation worked.

Did you put the navigator folder on the sd card or on the device?

Are the map files in a folder within a folder? It should be...

\SDMMC\{map folder}\Cline.dat ... etc
NOT...
\SDMMC\{map folder}\{map folder}\Cline.dat ... etc

Lastly 865 maps are out of date, 870 are current.
