In the device settings there is a reset to factory settings option. Remove the sd card and run this.

Ok next thing we'll try is an unlock to the WinCE desktop and have a poke around in the Windows control panel, I'll be on a PC shortly to send you some files.

Did this problem start when you first tried running igo or did igo work for a bit first?

1, Unzip this archive to the root of a SD card so that the only files on it are SHELL.ini and the folder MobileNavigator which contains two files.
2, Place card into device and reboot.
3, Tap navigation and a file explorer will appear.
4, Navigate to \Windows\Control.exe and launch it.
5, Double tap Volume & Sounds.
6, Make sure Events, Applications and Notifications are ticked.
7, Make sure the volume is at maximum.
8, Enable screen taps if you want.
9, Go to the Sounds tab and see if you can play some of the system sounds.
Currently sleeping...

I think there is some corruption somewhere, I will post a tool later that hard resets the device, that will put Windows back to it's default settings, I can also post instructions to stop iGO from turning off the device on loss of power.

Some would say that Turbodog not loading is a blessing :D

I have a B430 and i deleted Turbodog shortly after purchase because it's hopeless and didn't have any postcodes starting with B or C in it's database because the postcode file was corrupt.

If that doesn't fix it, it could be hardware, Does the X430 have a headphone socket? Have you tried to see if you get sound through it?

Either that OR the headphone jack is stuck in headset mode (Like early HTC phones, Either blow into it or wiggle a cocktail stick in it) OR the internal speaker has disconnected itself.
