Tap the status area on the map display
Tap the right side of the screen where it says "No GPS device"
Use the arrows to find "Other NMEA receiver"
Tap done/next (can't remember)
Use the slider to select "57600"
Tap done
Tap Com:7
Go outside and wait for a satellite lock, it can take several minutes the first time
Should now pick up satellites.

Hello Again . Thanks for all the help with getting that up and running .I have also downloaded primo 2 and I got that working straight away using the info from you but looking at post of maps when I get to download they mostly dont exsist any chance you could point me in the right direction to maps for uk roi that will download . I did download une that was rar'd and needed a password but navitotal didn't work, it was the one that was labelled nobbledtwicebythequakers praps if you know the password for that I could use that. Just another point do you know if it is possible to insert a batch file menu in the satnav root so you could choose which navigation program you wanted to run .
Thanks again for all the help . John.

You have to turn the alerts on, but the option to do do won't be available until the device has a satellite lock, also to test the alerts you have to go and physically drive past a camera as they don't work in simulation.
Tomtom is starting to get a bit old now, and the chances of an update is almost zero!

Once you're up and running with Primo, try using the dimka skin to add lots of features.

Hello Mate. I tried to install Dimka skin but don't understand the instructions , It says Place main {skin}.zip (do not extract it!) in {Primo2}/content/skin but there is no skin directory there and there is no file called main.zip there are two files one called diMkaWA_P156.zip and one called diMkaWa_P156 default .zip.
So don't know where to go from there .
Thanks . John.

If the skin folder does not exist under ..\content, create it there.
{Primo}\content\skin
The 'main' file is diMkaWA_P156.zip. So put that zip file (still zipped) in your newly created \skin folder.
