I downloaded software and maps from this website but it won't work the SD card is as below . When I put the SD card in and switch on it goes to the screen where it shows mobile navigation and setup but when I click on navigation it just hangs so where am I going wrong .

Maps folder empty

MobileNavigator folder contains TomTom 7.910.9185 for win ce5 unpacked and changed Tom tom navigator.exe to MobileNavigator.exe

United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland_890_422 folder with maps unpacked

AutoActivate file

Shell.ini file contains SDMMC\MobileNavigation\MobileNavigation

Hello . I looked at the ini file and realised that it should be \SDMMC\MobileNavigation\MobileNavigation so I changed it to that but it still hangs is there anything else that seems wrong. I downloaded primo 2 but cant seem to find the uk map , also the download links are very iffy I keep getting llivid and thats not just how I feel. Thanks John .

If you renamed the tomtom folder to MobileNavigator and the tomtom executable to MobileNavigator.exe, then the shell.ini should be...

\SDMMC\MobileNavigator\MobileNavigator.exe

Hello again. Well I altered the shell and TT now loads but I am having difficulty with maps I have downloaded 890.422 857649034 and 857649544 but am unable to get TT to recognize any of them the first one was an exe file that created its own directory but the other two were a directory with the map files . I used the fast activate that unpacked with the exe file to try to activate all of them but alas none worked . I tried downloading the new version of fast activate but although on the right page I could not seem to find a link that would downlod it . I just dont know where to go from here . Hope you can help .

THANKS . John .

Which map did you download exactly, and where did you put it on the sd card?

Sat Oct 20, 2012 6:35 pm

The maps I downloaded are 895.4444 895.4438 and I did manage to download fast activator and I tried transferring them to sd card in maps directory on sd one at a time and running fast activate then it displayed a menu so I selected activate maps (didn't know wether I should click any other icon ) and it wrote lots of bits to the sd root but when I put card in satnav it tried to load maps but but said sorry this is not the correct activation code for product then if I click continue it says select map and asks for voucher .

Thanks . John.

Use [Please Register or Login to download file]
Don't forget the [Please Register or Login to download file]
Download the latest version on fastactivate here

Put the map folder on the root of the card, when you open this folder you see files, not another folder!
Put the postcode files inside a folder called Zip in the root of the card.
Put Fastactivate.exe in the root of the card.

Run Fastactivate.exe

Hello . Another thing I thought about when using fast activate does it need CRC lngset and meta files transferred to sd card as well as main file to make it work properly '

Thanks . John .

Worry about the postcodes later, you must use the latest version of fastactivate as earlier versions no longer work.

Just the map folder and Fastactivate.exe, Tomtom application should already be installed.
