I have a Rand McNally tnd740 truck gps. It basically looks to be an Android tablet. I also have a Chinese head unit that is Android 8.1 oreo. It has 2 card slots and 2 usb.
My question is, can I take the gps app from the Rand and install on the Chinese head unit?
The Rand McNally navigation is great but the tablets used do not perform well.

The screen on the RM seems to be going out, it has a blue cast and is darker. I’ve never had any luck with RM hardware but the nav. Is great. This is the 4th one I’ve bought, it’s less than a year old
