Hi Fbf
I've got my Mio400 -actually it says Mio Navman 420 - unlocked it and now have blue screen with Start etc and SmartST in blue window - I can't see the unit as a drive from my PC to allow download of TomTom etc - where did I go wrong and where do I go now?

What did you do exactly?

As you have the blue desktop screen, you should be able to go to Start\FilemanCE and navigate to \Windows and run USBScreen.exe while the unit is connected to the PC, (Might be USBScreenConnect.exe, Can't remember) Sometimes there is an Uninstall option in the start menu.

Yes, got that USBScreen.exe - click it and it shows 2 screens with usb logo between - then goes back to blue screen with start (top left).

You need to be connected to the PC before running it.

Yes, I was doing that - but I also have just finished transferring files from a camera and so took the same cable and put that in the Mio - it works!! I had used the now faulty? cable earlier this evening.
Hopefully the rest goes smoothly.
Thanks

Panic over lol, The hardest part is now done, Use the guide for Tomtom on the Mio M400 i linked to earlier in this thread. If you need more room on the device then MOVE the SmartST_CE maps to a safe place on your PC.

My Flash Disk size = 2GB
Containing...

Europe maps = +1GB
UK&ROI maps = 180MB
No maps = 50MB 'ish

Hi Fbf
ALMOST there - I've got TomTom running eventually - but I've only got USA and Canada maps available!
I uploaded UK 875.3616 but they don't show on 'change maps'. I think I've done it the same as US which works brilliantly btw thanks to you!!

Clock on Mio M400. Not sure if I'm just stating what you already know but I've found that if I go to TomTom and Exit - back to start-up screen (desktop) and click on the time up in the top right corner, I can then set the time to the correct time and GMT (Greenwich etc). Go into FlashDrive and Navigator and start TomTom and it will show the correct time. I do have to make sure I don't go to Reset on the top of the unit - just OFF and it will keep the time. When I switchback on it does take a few minutes to correct the clock but for those who want to show the time on their Mio try this and see.

I did know this, also if you start another GPS application first and wait until it has a satellite lock, then exit and start Tomtom the clock is correct as well, However on my device it's always one hour out in the summer months (BST) but ok when it's GMT. So I gave up with it.

Just reading this thread has left me confused! I have as recently as last week purchased the Foehn & Hirsch GPS35LS, and installing and running TT 7 on them is very simple to do. I am running TT Version 7.910 and using UK&ROI 875_3673. Runs like a dream with normal basic TT functions and doesn't involve playing with wince 6 at all. The unit has a storage space called residentflash which it runs its software from and it is just a matter of installing your TT7 here. In fact, if you had the Navigo's prior to this unit, it takes exactly the same modified TT7 files as before.
