Most sensible GPS manufacturers realise that buyers of their software might choose to use it in other countries while on holiday in a hire car for example.
They therefore produce maps for other countries.
This is obviously some Papago based software, with the same limitations in world map coverage.

* The GPS COM Port and Baud Rate can be changed in the following file:
= \NavIQ\Config\GPS.ini
Whatever your device's COM Port number and optimum Baud Rate is, change the file to show those using notebook.

Thank you Monters GPS, I have those already.
I collect different GPS systems. In fact I have dozens of them, all of them in fact that are made to run on WinCE.
I also have quite a few like Papago, Navitel, Mapking as well that just need United Kingdom or Western Europe maps.
It's a hobby of mine.:)

bum99my wrote:Ok done it and this is what I got:

But.....

1) Simulate OK but no sound.
2) Map picture does not move when I move. It shows my last location ie at the point of start of journey.
3) If I stop navigation, the map will show correct location as I move.
4) Selecting the 'Destination' icon in the top left hand corner does nothing. For destination, I had to use the 'Destination' icon at the 'Destination/Map/Tools' page
5) The only audio I have is at the start of program. The rest silent. Mute is selected 'OFF'.

As always, any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Can anyone help me to make this work? Thank you.

The navigation routing is much better compare to V8 initial release version. However, the routing is still not perfect compare to Papago routing. It is very much map dependent. Further more there is no recommended route to select in the routing option.

The voice TTS is clear. Road searching or postal code is also well define.

Hope Galactio can improve on the routing. Or can study how Papago define map routing practice. If not I will still have 'short cut' routing from highway into the building next to the highway, which there is no physical road that you can cut through.
