@moiloon

Did you try to contact the seller? If they are good and honorable people perhaps they could make a copy of all the OS files and start-up files on a CD for you. Explain your problem to them but in a nice way. It's nice to be nice! :)

Try them again and be humble. This seems to be the best option.

i just have emailed them again,and them again no help,apart from asking me to send the unit back,which i cant,as it wont load and the start up logo isnt the same as it was when i got it from new,it was the car+windmill,but now after using the files on my sdcard i recieved the logo is completely different
the only way i could send this device back now is if it was totally bricked and wont turn on at all.
surely there is another way to get this os back on,or to totally kill this device so i can send it back for a replacement

Honestly, I'm not sure since I never had to do it. I gave you both 5 and 6 since your link doesn't say what the OS is for your device. I believe the MS link has instruction but I would think [?] that either has to go on the internal drive along with the other download. Try them both separately. BACK-UP WHAT YOU HAVE FIRST BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING FIRST!!!!

Moiloon,

I already gave you the firmware for my device, thinking that your gps and might have the same hardware. I'm sorry that it didn't work. Please look for these firmwares found on this URL:

[Please Register or Login to download file]

There is a hardware description for each. At this point, since your device is already bricked, you can do trial and error on these firmwares and hope one works for your device.

I cant help with your problem here but if you have a phone with a built in gps aerial we can help you load Navi software on it to get you back to work?

i have gps on my phone already,but this is an issue in itself,as i need to use my phone a lot while im using navigation ect,so this isnt really a viable option tbh
and im gutted now,ive got a 2 week old satnav that is no good for anything,and cant send it back,how would i at least either totally kill it or at least get the start up picture back to the car and windmill,at least then i may be able to send it back to the vendor stuck on the correct picture

thanks in advance
