How come there is nothing on Navman??

Postby twelvesight » Sat Dec 31, 2011 3:16 am

OMFG

It turns out that the TT Navigator (French) version (whatever it is) provided in the Sticky thread DOES NOT WORK with Navman MY50T!!

I randomly downloaded some other older version from another site (I don't know what version, but the file name is TomTom_PC_ORI.rar) and it works on the cracked Navman MY50T without the map activation nag screen finally.

However, another problem!! ---> it says NO MAPS FOUND! WHY?!?!?! and what the hell should I do folks???

Please reply experts!! Thanks heaps

The version of Tomtom does work on Navman/Mio devices.

Please provide the full path to Australia-254.meta.dct, as viewed in explorer on your pc.

Something like, E:\Australia\Australia-254.meta.dct

If you could post the French error message as well that would be helpful.

Also exactly which map did you download, Provide the full title, including all the numbers.

Hi

I tried all 3 latest Australian maps none works (which I found on this site under the Sticky thread latest maps 880xxx)

The French message just says "map need activation"... i think? same message before autoactivation

The only map suitable is Australia 880.3811

Please provide the full path to Australia-254.meta.dct, as viewed in explorer on your pc.

Something like, E:\Australia\Australia-254.meta.dct

If you could post the untranslated French error message as well that would be helpful.

There are several error messages, each requiring a different course of action.

Hi again

1) i kept trying and just realised i have (don't why i did that but i did anyways) sillilly installed the SE_Navcore.9.150.554646_64mb_devices_only onto my Navman and messed the whole thing up.

2) as a result, i deleted everything and started fresh with the original (cracked) Navman software only, then i followed your instructions and recopied i) AutoActivator.exe ii) Aust Map 880.3811 iii) the French TT Navigator and FINALLY IT WORKS!!

so thanks again for everything!

by the way,

1) actually, what version is this French TT Navigator you said we needed to use for ALL NAVMAN?
2) why Australia_880_3810 & Australia 880.3865 do not work?

Thanks again so much!!

That's a navcore for actual Tomtom devices, Those are Linux based, Navman's are Windows CE based and require a tweaked version of Tomtom Navigator, (Originally for Windows Mobile.)

As i knew it would.

You're welcome.

twelvesight wrote:1) actually, what version is this French TT Navigator you said we needed to use for ALL NAVMAN?

It's not a French version, It just defaults to the French language, It has multi-language support, It is version 7.450, This is the only version that runs properly on most Windows CE devices. Some other devices can run 7.910, There are no differences in features between them.

These mapsets have extra features for actual Tomtom devices that are incompatible with Tomtom Navigator.

Again you're welcome, Enjoy your device :)

Speedcams!

Read the instructions carefully!

Do you mean the menu text or the voice?

There are Chinese voices in this archive here.

Don't install too many voices or Tomtom Navigator slows down to a crawl.

data53.chk - Tao - Chinese (Mandarin)
data54.chk - Bai-Qiang - Chinese (Cantonese)

Hi again,

With all your help, I have finally managed to overwrite the original Navman software with the TomTom Navigator software - so thanks so much for this!

However, how do you get the Navman device to automatically turn on when I start my car??? :scratch_one-s_head_ I have to manually turn on the device every time which is every annoying! (my old Garmin used to automatically turn on when I started my car)

Please help!!

Many thanks indeed!!

This is a hardware dependant feature, Some devices stop the processor when suspended, So it's not possible to wake up the device with software.
