There's not a lot you can do with the original software, other than
PAY Navman for new maps.
However you can unlock the device and run other software...

i managed to find the tread on how to hack Navman MY65....
I tried it on MY50T and got to the stage where the TomTom interface complains about mao activation in French.
When I tried to run the AutoActivate.exe (on the root of the machine, I do not have SD card)... it says "cannot run because it is not a valid Windows CE application"????
Please help??? THanks heaps

Hi again
I found out why I could not run Autoactivate.exe that was because I was trying to run it from within the GPS.
When I reconnected the GPS to the laptop and ran AutoActivate.exe (stored inside the GPS) via the laptop, I got to the stage where it says "Press anykey to continue".
However, when I disconnected the GPS from the laptop and tried to restart the GPS, it still boots to the previous empty blue desktop with 1 single SmartCE button on the top left corner -- WHY AND WHAT SHOULD I DO NOW???
Please help thanks heaps

Read the rest of the thread...
To get a shortcut on the desktop open notepad on your PC and type...
"\My Flash Disk\Navigator\Tomtom Navigator.exe" Which is the path to the executable on your device within quotes
Count all the characters 47 in the above example
Arrange the text like this...
47#"\My Flash Disk\Navigator\Tomtom Navigator.exe"
Save the file as...
Tomtom.lnk That's LiNK not INK
Make sure it's Tomtom.lnk and not Tomtom.lnk.txt
Your PC will hide .lnk so you'll just have an icon called Tomtom
Copy this file to the...
Program Files\Unlock\Desktop folder to have it on your desktop OR Program Files\Unlock\Programs to have it in the Start menu.

Hi again
sorry for keep posting but I have again managed to achieve more and successfully created:
1) copied all 3 hack files to the root of the GPS unit
2) ran AutoActivate.exe stored on the GPS via laptop
3) autorun.lnk to the TomTom software (and yes it works)
But frustratingly, the TomTom stills gives me the nag screen of "map activation" in French after I disconnected it from Laptop and tried to reboot the unit????
I am very stuck now, please help!! That's all the help I need as I honestly do not know what to do now...
Please reply Thanks heaps

Unfortunately the keygen within AutoActivate has problems with certain configurations of Win 7 64 bit, I don't have that OS, so i don't know why it does.
Are you able to use a different PC, Preferably with another OS installed?
Sat Dec 31, 2011 12:34 am
so it is a Win6 x64 thing???
But you saw the screen shot right? It seems "working" i mean the final message from the AutoActivate???
I am very confused??
And I don't have another PC???
Please reply THanks again
PS: I even downloaded NavCore and after installing it to my Navman and the map activation nag screen still continues

To confirm whether AutoActivate worked, check if there is an Australia...meta.dct file within the map folder.
Sat Dec 31, 2011 1:14 am
hi again
i found Australia-254.meta.dct found inside the "Australia" Map folder at the root of the GPS
However the nag screen in French continues.
Oh please help!!! :(
